Common Ties is simple. We ask the world 20 Questions and look for answers that tell, in 50 words or less, stories that trigger strong emotional reactions. We then pair these answers with art – submitted by writers themselves or other artists – and call them jeles. We publish 10 every Friday. Maybe some day we’ll even do books.
We used to publish longer personal stories, which you can read on our archives page. We've also just started a Myspace page, myspace.com/commonties, where you can see additional jeles.
Editor Elizabeth Armstrong Moore is a freelance journalist in Portland, Ore. Her work has appeared in many venues, including The Christian Science Monitor and Wired magazine.
myspace, facebook, and now sheezyart, we are wanting origional art, not what you take from others and post as your own, as seen in the rules. you give proper credit, but i dont suspect you will get far. only time can tell im afraid.
Interesting point, Mizu, although technically these jeles are our own - not only do we select and buy the words, and then select and buy the art, we also pair them together, title them, and lay them out ourselves, so we do almost all the work to put these together. Also, we are not on Facebook, at least yet, so I'm not sure where that came from. But thank you for your feedback, and we hope you are enjoying our storytelling through art!
Hean: I suppose you could Google the names of our contributors, try to find them, and confirm how we operate. Or simply Google us, if you want to see what other people are saying. Or, you could submit your own answer and/or art, and become a part of the process yourself.
Thanks for your interest!

Just to let you know. You don't need to write X-Name: and the message, since this is a quoting system on Sheezyart there is no need for it unless it's a conversation with 10+ people of course.
Yes i've googled you and it seems fine, i'm sorry i cannot constribute with any kind of art as i'm not a good writer, nor a good artist, i only do voice acting. But thank you for the offer.
Also, there's no need to write your full name nor title (As it would probably mostly be used for trolling etc.)
Thanks for the advice. I like to use names out of respect, but I understand it's not necessary. As for submitting, don't have to be a writer at all, you can submit art to illustrate our orphans, which are answers that still need art. Check it out! http://www.commonties.com/blog/2007/11/19/orphans
No problem, though there is no need for respect here on sheezyart, of course i'm not advicing to be none-respectful, but it is normally only great artists who get alot of respect and that pretty much goes for all kind of art sites.
I looked, but again...I am not the kind of person who can draw, i've practiced drawing for over 8 years and i almost just left the "Stick Figure Level" in drawing, i'd have to be around 30 before i'd be able to draw anything decent. But lots of luck from my side to you.
